Psychodynamic Counselling

Psychodynamics sees the mind is an active, dynamic inner world; how this is functioning affects how we relate to ourself and others. It has been practiced formally for over 110 years. In sessions the client and therapist will talk and look for patterns on how you behave, think and feel, aiming to bring these patterns into conscious life. In doing so the task is to bring about psychological insight, self-acceptance and so relief. The frequency, duration, and emotional depth of the sessions distinguishes between counselling and psychotherapy and varies depending on the clients position.
