Maria is an experienced accredited Psychotherapist and Counsellor working in English and Spanish. As well as privately, she has worked with individuals and couples for the last 20 years, in different settings (NHS, University and voluntary sector).

My professional training includes:

A five year degree in Psychology with a focus on Applied Clinical Psychology; 1987-1992 Valencia University

An MSc in Gestalt Psychotherapy at Middlesex University; 1993-2002.

Diploma in Clinical Supervision, Gestalt Centre, London; 2014

Certificate in Couples Therapy; 2017

In her work, Maria feels very passionate about helping people to make sense of the difficulties they may be experiencing in their lives, and looking at ways of overcoming them so that they can live in a more fulfilling and satisfying way.

Counselling and Psychotherapy gives the opportunity to talk and explore what you are struggling with in a safe, supportive and non-judgemental way which can be extremely helpful in itself and often marks the beginning of a process of discovery and change in yourself and your relationships with others.
